The die-casting process first uses steel or aluminum alloy to manufacture molds

Die casting uses non-ferrous alloy materials because they have low melting points and excellent dimensional stability.

The final stage of precision die-casting involves post-processing and precision machining. At this stage, precision machining techniques are used to eliminate surface defects, enhance chemical or mechanical properties, and improve the appearance of the product. We offer five different surface finish options for die-casting parts:

Steel mold material is a high-end product in die-casting mold materials, which has advantages such as high strength, good toughness, and good wear resistance. In addition, steel mold materials also have good processing performance and can be processed using various processing methods.

In steel mold materials, commonly used ones include cold work mold steel, hot work mold steel, and plastic mold steel. Among them, cold work mold steel has excellent wear resistance and hardness, suitable for producing small and medium-sized die-casting molds; Hot work mold steel has good heat resistance and toughness, suitable for producing high-temperature castings; Plastic mold steel has good corrosion resistance and processing performance, and is suitable for producing plastic products.

The die-casting process first uses steel or aluminum alloy to manufacture molds. Then, molten metal, usually aluminum or zinc, is filled into the mold under very high pressure. Once the metal cools and solidifies, the part will pop out of the mold. Finished parts usually require little or no additional processing. This makes die-casting an economically effective method for producing parts with complex shapes and strict tolerances.

Although die casting is an efficient and cost-effective process, it does present some challenges. The most significant challenge is that this process requires a lot of skills and experience to produce high-quality parts. In addition, the impact strength of parts produced by die-casting is relatively low, which makes them unsuitable for certain applications. Finally, die-casting is not suitable for producing parts with extremely strict tolerances.
