Leave a messageThe manufacturing of flanges is mainly divided into two types: forged flanges and cast flanges. The materials used for forging flanges can be carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc. After forging, they are processed and the surface is generally polished, corroded, etc. Cast flanges are mainly made of materials such as cast iron, brass, and copper nickel alloy, but their strength and reliability are not as high as forged flanges.
Standard for flanges
1. Domestic standards
The commonly used flange standards in China mainly include GB/T9112-2000, GB/T9113, etc.
2. American standards
American flange standards include ANSI, ASME, API, etc. Among them, ANSI B16.5 standard is used for flanges with pressure ratings ranging from 150LB to 2500LB, ANSI B16.47 standard is used for flanges with pressure ratings ranging from 150LB to 900LB, and ASME standard is used for high-pressure and high-temperature applications.
3. European standards
The European flange standards include EN1092-1, EN1092-2, EN1092-3, EN1092-4, etc. Among them, EN1092-1 standard is used for flanges between PN2.5 and PN400, EN1092-2 standard is used for flanges between DN15 and DN2000, EN1092-3 standard is used for flanges between PN16 and PN100, and EN1092-4 standard is used for flanges between PN6 and PN40.
