Spray Painting Process

Detailed Description

Spray molding technology is a commonly used surface treatment technique, widely used in the surface treatment of various metal products to improve their appearance, corrosion resistance, and service life. The spray molding process includes multiple steps such as preliminary preparation, surface treatment, spray molding operation, and post-treatment.

surface treatment

Cleaning: Use cleaning agents or solvents to clean the surface of metal products, remove impurities such as oil and dust, and ensure surface cleanliness.

Polishing: Polishing the surface of metal products to remove burrs, rust, and uneven parts, and improve the spraying effect.

Rust removal: If there is rust on the surface of metal products and rust removal treatment is required, chemical rust removal agents or mechanical rust removal methods can be used.

The spray molding process includes multiple stages such as raw material preparation, surface treatment, drying pre-treatment, coating spraying, drying and curing, polishing and packaging of spray molded products, all of which are very important and require a reasonable arrangement of time and technical means.

Detailed introduction of spray molding process.

1、 Preparation work

Before starting the spray molding process, preparation work is required. Firstly, it is necessary to purchase the raw materials required for spraying from legitimate manufacturers or suppliers, including spraying equipment, coatings, and related accessories. During use, it is necessary to strictly follow the paint usage instructions and master operating skills.

2、 Surface treatment

The quality of spray molding is directly affected by the surface treatment of the basic material. It is necessary to remove the oil stains, rust, and oxides from the basic materials. Sandblasting and dust removal techniques are usually used to polish and clean the rust spots, oxides, oil stains, paint and other defects, burrs, on the surface of basic materials, in order to better adhere the coating to the surface.

3、 Drying pretreatment

For certain spraying materials, it is required to undergo drying pre-treatment before coating. This process varies depending on the spraying material, and generally requires heating, drying, and pre film treatment to fully ensure the adhesion and glossiness requirements of the coating.

4、 Coating spraying

The spraying equipment sprays the coating evenly on the surface through the spray of the coating to achieve the effects of fullness, uniformity, no dripping, flake and no granulated smoothness. The quantity of sprayed coatings is related to various factors such as the type and specifications of sprayed materials, the model and working pressure of equipment, and coating requirements. The processed spray coating needs to ensure uniform application, transparency, and glossiness.

5、 Drying and Curing

After the coating is sprayed, the sprayed plastic products need to go through a series of drying and curing processes to meet the specified requirements for thermal solidification points and hardness. During this period, it is necessary to control the drying temperature and time of the sprayed products, and adjust the temperature according to the actual situation.

6、 Polishing and packaging of spray molded products

After completing the above steps, it is necessary to polish and polish the coating surface to eliminate coating defects caused by various reasons. At the same time, it is necessary to inspect the spray molded products to ensure that they reach a certain quality level. Finally, it is necessary to package the spray molded products for delivery to customers.
